WebThe main purpose of the DBX is to be a light explorer or runabout vessel. It's great for running 1,000ly out to guardian sites, collecting mats, or doing recon. Its fast, manueverable, and fun. But... It doesn't have the internal capacity to allow for many redundancies. You can fit everything you need into... but just barely.

Almost every post I read talks about using an Anaconda as the main explorer ship. it seems to me that the DB can have everything you want in it, a great jump range, and at about 20-30th the cost. However, this ship is also one of the most popular ships among beginners who are interested in exploration, and even as a permanent option. It's small, not at all expensive, fast, capable of evading the enemy to survive, and with a good range jump. WebPersonally the best exploration ship next to the Anaconda is the Diamondback Explorer. Has a great cockpit view, easy refueling and rarely overheats. Awesome maneuverability and decent for small combat. Also if you want to outfit it for range it (fully equipped) has excellent range of not the highest capable range next to the Anaconda.

Made the Chieftain Pulse Red paint job a little more red. Fixed UVs on the Cobra Mk III ship kit so that paint jobs apply correctly. Fixed UVs on the LODs of the Viper so that paint jobs apply better.
